| PUNTA PRIMA is situated on the far South-East tip of Menorca opposite to the Isla del Aire where you can see one of the most important light-houses guiding maritime traffic to Mahon. Punta Prima is a busy and attractive resort with a number of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. There are two English Pubs and several hotels and hostals in the area. The sea-front is closed to traffic in the summer, making it peaceful to sit on the terraces of the bars and restaurants and also safe for small children. The beach is sandy and quite large with sun-beds and umbrellas for hire. A RED CROSS safety station keeps an eye on the bathers from the beach and flags are flying indicating the conditions for swimmers. A bus service runs to Sant Lluis and a " road train " runs between Punta Prima along the coast to Binibeca Vell - the next resort . Punta Prima has a small market with stalls most days in the summer selling all sorts of trinkets, hand-made jewellery, shoes and clothing GOOD PARKING CLOSE TO THE BEAXH. |
